Peru has been trying to implement e-voting for years. The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), designed a system for voting automation years ago, and has even carried out processes to test the efficiency of the model they designed with no external aid. In 2014, year of municipal and regional elections, the organism hopes to perform another test, this time in the region of Trujillo.
